John Rumming

civilization?:

in sheltered rock cave
petroglyph pierced by sun dagger
marks Summer's solstice

we, contained by walls
sweep of savannah long lost
filling car with gas

this dusty day
finds me covered with grit
longing for rain

John Rumming lives in Woodland, CA just North of Sacramento. Known as the city of trees, Woodland is quiet and friendly. In short, it is a nice place to reside.
